A couple of nights ago I made a couple of my favorite vegetables: 1) Kale Chips (recipe can be found at http://www.katheats.com ) and 2) roasted Broccolette, recipe which I am sharing right here right now.
You’re going to start off with 1 fresh bunch of organic broccolette, washed and dried.
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
With thicker stalks make small cut up the middle but be careful not to split the stalk all the way up through the top.
-1 large bunch fresh organic broccolette
-6 cloves of garlic (chopped)
-2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-2 Tsp cayenne pepper
-1 Tsp coarse salt
Place washed and dried broccolette on a baking sheet, distribute the 6 chopped garlic cloves evenly over the broccolette stalks, drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil evenly over broccolette, sprinkle cayenne pepper and coarse salt over the broccolette.
Place baking sheet in oven for 30 minutes or until all stalks reach golden-light brown color.
One of my favorite things about this vegetable is that the stalks when cooked taste very similar to asparagus, and the tops taste just like broccoli, two of my favorite veggies.
I hope you all enjoy making and eating this delicious vegetable as much as I do.
